Margaret
Lead Trustee
Margaret Susan Downey is a Solicitor and the Lead Trustee and was a longtime confidante and personal friend of Michael Piper until his death. She was in private practice specialising in Wills and Trusts for many years but is now semi-retired. She also runs a local Charitable Trust so brings her knowledge and skills to The Lawrence Charitable Trust.
Ian
Trustee
Ian Turnbull works as a Registered Manager of a local Nursing Home for a large Healthcare company. Over past 30 years, he has helped a number of charities by raising funds and taking part in various charitable events and activities.
Ian has previously sat as a trustee on other charities but it is The Lawrence Trust that means so much to him as he and Michael Piper were friends for over 20 years so it is a privilege to look after Michael's legacy
Gemma
Trustee
Gemma works as a business support coordinator and is also part of a growing support team for a large national charity. Being no stranger to fundraising, Gemma has taken part in many events over the years helping to raise funds and awareness for local causes.
Crispin
Trustee
Crispin is a chartered accountant and takes care of the charity’s accounts. Crispin is also involved in a number of charities in East Sussex spanning heritage, environment, arts and community sport.
Andrew
Trustee
Andrew is a fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents. As the senior partner of a local firm, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the trust.
